Five steps, no shortcuts.
A garden is slow on purpose. Here is how one is made — from the first conversation to the seasons of care that follow.
- 01 · Listening. We begin with you — how you live, where you pause, what the space needs to give back at the end of a day.
- 02 · Reading the site. Sun, wind, soil, slope and views are mapped before a single line is drawn. The land speaks first.
- 03 · Composition. The garden is composed by golden-ratio proportion — paths, planting and pause points placed so the space feels calm without saying why.
- 04 · Planting. Native, climate-fit planting goes in as layers that mature over seasons — never a garden that peaks on day one.
- 05 · Care. Gardens keep growing. Seasonal editing keeps the place honest, healthy and yours.
How long does it take?
Design moves quickly once we understand the site — usually a few weeks to a clear concept. The garden itself takes longer to become itself, and that's the point. A place worth living in is worth waiting for.
